Partners in Prayer

Jesus said, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask,

We invite you to pray for the ministry of Malaysian CARE and for the needs of the poor & needy in our communities.

Prayer Points for this Month (October 2022)

PC Kampar/Ladang CARE
WEEK 1 Oct 1-9, 2022

1. Pray for God’s intervention, wisdom and joy to be upon the Orang Asli children; for continued interest in their studies; and parents to be supportive of their children’s education. After the COVID-19 pandemic, many have lost interest and dropped out of school.

2. Thank God for Asnita, new staff of Koperasi Sengoi Pribumi Perak (KSPP), who just joined. Pray that her heart be touched through this work and may she draw closer to Him in times of need.

3. Pray that God would call the right persons to serve their respective community by filling one vacancy each for KSPP staff at KSPP and village work at Malaysian CARE.

4. Pray for God’s protection upon PC Kampar colleagues and their families: physically, emotionally and spiritually. May God’s stewards fulfil their full potential, be it at Ladang CARE or in villages.

5. Pray for God’s hand to be upon the planning and creating of videos for Ladang CARE Sustainable Agriculture to benefit indigenous friends and their economy.

6. Pray for God’s wisdom and supply of resources needed for the chicken coop project.

Service Development
WEEK 2 Oct 10-16, 2022

1. God to grant wisdom and leading upon Persatuan Pekerja Prihatin dan Pekerja Sosial Kristian Malaysia (PPPPSKM), especially in the area of networking and support towards capacity building for Christian ministries.

2. Pray for God's leading and wisdom when the Economic Empowerment team conducts Training for Trainers (TOT) for financial literacy programmes. Pray also that the communities will be empowered in financial literacy through these engagements. 

3. Pray that the Lord will continue to grant wisdom, guidance, clarity, and strength to each staff in accomplishing goals set in the Annual Planning 2022 for Special Needs work.

4. Praise God for the opportunity to roll out the Community-Based Recovery (CBR) pilot test this year. Pray for God's leading and guidance to be upon the various stakeholders involved in the upcoming pilot test. 

5. Pray for smooth pilot testing of Home-Based Learning Support (HBLS) curriculum, designed to empower parents to teach their own children on basic reading, writing, counting and socio-emotional skills.

WEEK 3 Oct 17-23, 2022

1. Pray for the video sermons (which can be found at, that their message will resonate with Christians and increase awareness on the issue.

2. Pray for God's provision for CARE's finances in Q4, that God will move the hearts of churches and individuals to partner with CARE in the area of giving.

3. Pray for the open vacancies that we have for the Communications department. Pray that the candidates will have a genuine heart and calling to serve the poor and needy. 

4. Pray for Jeffrey Cheah Foundation Community Scholarship recipients (from low-income families and welfare homes). Pray that they will do well in their studies and make a better future for themselves and their families.

5. Pray for long-term volunteers for our different projects. Especially ask God to move the hearts of the people to reach out by serving in the various volunteering positions we have open. (Visit

PC Kota Kinabalu & Kota Marudu

WEEK 4 Oct 24-31, 2022

1. Pray for PC KM team, that more networking and church engagement will be held in Kota Marudu, Pitas and Kudat area.

2. Pray for the income generating project in Pulau Banggi to bring changes and that CARE would be able to expand it to other villages.

3. Pray for perseverance, creativity and protection of the staff dealing with various uncertainties.

4. Pray for the preparation of the Pitas Kindergarten Teacher's Workshop conducted by PC KK education team. Via this workshop, may the teachers be empowered and equipped with knowledge and skills.

5. Pray for PC KK and PC KM project plannings this year to be conducted smoothly, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, may the teams be able to implement every project successfully with our like-minded partners.
